Established in 1997, Macbertan (Pvt) Ltd was founded through a strategic partnership between McLarens Holdings Limited and Alliance Finance Company Ltd, two industry leaders whose combined resources and expertise set Macbertan on a path of innovation.
Backed by this strong foundation, Macbertan pioneered the manufacture of expanded polyethylene foam and bubble sheets in Sri Lanka, later expanding into Aluminum Barrier Laminate (ABL) and Plastic Barrier Laminate (PBL) tube production.

This is why Macbertan is the first plastic processing company in Sri Lanka to be awarded ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety) certifications. Similarly, the company received ISO 9001 :2008 Certification for Quality Standards and ISO 50001: 2011 Energy Management System certification.
