Established in 1997, Macbertan (Pvt) Ltd is a result of a strategic alliance between McLarens Holdings Limited and Alliance Finance Company Ltd. These two corporate entities are at top of their respective industries which gives Macbertan an advantage when it comes to the availability of resources and expertise.
With these two companies being a driving force for Macbertan, they were able to pioneer in the manufacture of expanded polyethylene foam and bubble sheets in the country. This achievement pushed them to expand and progress into the manufacture of Aluminum Barrier Laminate (ABL) and Plastic Barrier Laminate (PBL) tubes. Additionally the company moved onto the latest technology that manufactures steel roofing and related products & accessories.
Providing what the customer wants and meeting their specific requirements is vital in this business. Therefore giving a customer a reason to trust us and our products is of monumental importance. This is why Macbertan is the first plastic processing company in Sri Lanka to be awarded the EMS 14001:2004 and OHSAS 180012007. Similarly the company received ISO 9001 :2008 Certification for Quality Standards and ISO 50001 : 2011 Energy Management System certification.
Macbertan has a fully trained and highly skilled workforce of over 200 personnel and factories equipped with state of the art machinery for the production of a superior range of products.
The factory which is situated in Ja-ela, with it’s state of the art machinery, processes and manufactures, closed cell expanded PE foam and it’s allied products, and air bubble sheets.
The factory is situated in a modern complex, built on an area of 30,000sq.ft, with a work force of over 200.
The factory recently went in to an expansion program to diversify it’s product portfolio and is now producing flexible Aluminum and Plastic Laminated tubes for cosmetics, toothpaste, pharmaceutical and food industry.
Over a period of 16 years Macbertan has launched a range of products which have gained immense popularuty in both industrial and domestic markets and its flagship product “McFoil” is regarded as a leading brand in the category of reflective heat insulation in Sri Lanka.
All these innovations have been possible due to it’s commitment to quality, environment and occupational health and safety of it’s workforce.
